    Question on the “ALTERNATOR CHARGING”:

If the Ground “busbars” from the Chassis and the Coach are each connected to the motorhome’s chassis (basically, it’s common Ground), is there a reason/benefit for using an “Isolated” DC-DC Converter?

On the Diagram above, perhaps the Camper on the Alternator are not “really” sharing a common chassis, so perhaps an “Isolated” DC-DC Converter makes sense in that application, is that correct?

If both busbars are connected to the chassis, using the non-isolated version is fine if you like. The Isolated version just removes all doubt in terms of good grounds.

I purchased the 50a-camper-inverter-with-solar-alternator-charging-wiring-diagram/ – What is the description of the fuse block illustrated? Where can I get it?

    • Nate Yarbrough

I’m not sure fully understand your question… but the fuse block illustrated would be the OEM installed fuse block in your camper. You don’t need to re-wire the 12V branch circuits or anything.

    Good day, sir,
I was wondering if you could recommend the best diagram for to work with to assist in upgrading my 50A travel trailer to include cabin mounted lithium storage ( in lieu of tongue mounted) with a 3000W inverter/charger from renogy, 800W rod mounted solar, 60A solar charge controller.
I’d like to eliminate all the tongue wiring except for alternator charging and get all that junk off the tongue and indoors.
If you have a good diagram that would work for me I’d be all over it! Stupid enclosed underbelly is going to make things tricky, but oh well. I’ll deal with it.
    Look forward to your recommendation!
    Keep up the great work?

This page you commented on is my recommendation for retrofitting a 50A OEM RV.
